How to delete your personal data from Hydriq
Option 1: Delete All Data
This permanently removes all hydration logs, profile information, achievements, streaks, Spirit progress, and preferences.
1. Open Hydriq
2. Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
3. Tap Data & Privacy
4. Scroll down and tap Delete All Data
5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog
This action is irreversible. All locally stored data will be permanently erased and the app will reset to its initial state.
Option 2: Delete Local Backups
Hydriq creates encrypted backup files (.hydriq) on your device when you use the backup feature or have auto-backup enabled. To delete them:
1. Open Hydriq → Settings → Data & Privacy
2. Scroll to the Local Backups section
3. Tap Delete Local Backups
4. Confirm the deletion (two-step confirmation)
This removes all encrypted .hydriq backup files from your device. Your hydration data and cloud backups are not affected.
Option 3: Delete Cloud Backups
If you enabled Google Drive backup, copies of your data are stored in your Google Drive's app-isolated folder. To delete them:
1. Open Hydriq → Settings → Data & Privacy
2. Tap Delete Cloud Backups
3. Confirm the deletion
This removes all Hydriq backup files from your Google Drive. Cloud backups are stored in a hidden appDataFolder that is only accessible by Hydriq — they are not visible in your Google Drive UI.
Revoking Google Access
To fully disconnect Hydriq from your Google account:
1. In Hydriq, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Sign Out
2. Optionally, revoke Hydriq's access via Google Account Permissions
Option 4: Delete Individual Entries
To remove specific drink logs without deleting everything:
1. On the Home tab, find the entry in the Entries section
2. Swipe the entry left to delete it
3. Tap Undo on the Snackbar if you deleted by mistake
Option 5: Uninstall the App
Uninstalling Hydriq from your device removes all locally stored data, including the encrypted database, preferences, and local backup files. No data remains on your device after uninstall.
Note: If you enabled Google Drive backup, cloud copies are not automatically deleted when you uninstall. Use Option 2 above to delete cloud backups before uninstalling, or revoke Hydriq's access via Google Account Permissions.

* Purchase records are managed by Google Play and cannot be deleted by the app. To request deletion of purchase records, contact Google Play Support.
Data Retention
Hydriq does not retain any data after deletion. There are no server-side copies, no analytics logs, and no backup retention periods. When you delete your data using any of the methods above, it is permanently removed.
